The Aftermath of the California Rain Storms

Spring is here! However we are receiving calls to remediate the damage caused by the continuous rain storms that soaked California during the winter months. This damage was caused by a roof leak. Eight rooms in this large home sustained water damage and subsequent mold contamination. Before proceeding with water mitigation and mold remediation it was necessary to tarp the roof and schedule repairs. Then we proceeded with the removal of damaged drywall and insulation. Following removals, equipment was installed to dehumidify the framing and structural members. With drying completed we will proceed with the removal of mold from the structure to be followed by Post Remedial mold testing by a Third Party Indoor Environmental Professional. All removals and remediation was performed inside containment under negative pressure to prevent the spreading of contaminants. Once Testing results are received and confirmed that the mold remediation was successful, reconstruction can take place.
